Julie had moved to Lethbridge from B.C.’s Lower Mainland in 1979. In a 2018 news release, police said she was an associate of the Ghost Riders Motorcycle Club, which operated in British Columbia and Washington.
"As the investigation progressed, police received conflicting and unconfirmed reports that Julie may have returned to B.C. or moved to Ontario, as well as reports she was the victim of a homicide.” (CBC)
Julie was officially reported missing in June of 1983.
In 1985, police executed a warrant to search and excavate a home believed to have been shared by Julie and her boyfriend. No sign of Julie was found, and police have been unable to determine if her disappearance was voluntary or the result of foul play.
