On December 3, 1992, at 1:35 p.m., 33-year-old Jeffrey Dekleyn was seen on surveillance footage at the RBC bank located at Main and Whitney in Hamilton, Ontario, making a withdrawal from an ATM machine. He was never seen or heard from again.
Jeffrey was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, blue denim pants, a blue “Labbatts Blue” baseball cap and a brown bomber-style jacket with a “Dempster’s Bread” logo on the left side. At the time of his disappearance, he was described by family as being depressed. He walked with a limp and had been showing early symptoms of Huntington's Disease, a neurological condition which may have resulted in him exhibiting behaviour similar to alcohol impairment.
Jeffrey has a scar on his abdomen, running front-to-back, as a result of surgery to remove his kidney. He is described as 6 feet tall, 141 pounds with blue eyes, good teeth, dark brown unkempt hair, a full beard, moustache and sideburns. He also uses the name Jeffrey Dignard.
