Wilson Grant NOKOHOOT (2008)

DOB: August 10, 1965 (55) • Missing Since: May 30, 2008 • Last Seen: Regina, Saskatchewan

Circumstances:

Wilson Grant Nokohoot, 43, was last seen May 30, 2008, in the 1800 block of Smith Street in Regina, Saskatchewan. According to a CBC article about Wilson’s disappearance, he was reported missing by his family in August of that year, after he failed to pick up cheques from a trust fund that had been set up as compensation for his time spent at Gordon’s Indian Residential School.

There is no description of the clothing that he was wearing when last seen.

It is unusual for him to not have regular contact with family and acquaintances.

Investigators followed up on several tips and leads from the community without success; his family thinks he may have been “mixed up with the wrong people.”

In 2009, Wilson’s disappearance was among 238 open cold case files being handled by RCMP or city police forces in Saskatchewan.
